The open plan dining room and sitting area are adjoined by the kitchen, making this the social hub of the lodge. A large natural light and dark wood table is at the heart of the dining area, with eight matching chairs. There is a sideboard, and a wine rack near the table, as well as access to the serving area between it and the kitchen. The sitting area has ample seating with two leather couches and an armchair, focused around the remote controlled wood burning stove, burning silver birch, pine, and other woods from the 110 acres of privately owned surrounding woodland. There is a TV and DVD player, and a compact CD player. The south facing French doors in this area allow sunlight into the room, which also leads out onto the wheelchair accessible patio area.
